Presidential Matters
9th
Cuomo our outgoing NYSDA Trustee, Parliamentarian (at least for 1 more year – thank you for that), and Past President. Tony, you will never know how much I appreciate all the help and advice that you have given me, these past few years. Your knowledge of parliamentary procedure is second to none and honestly, I don’t know where we would be without your guidance. I know that once your term as Trustee is up in June you will be moving on to bigger things and I know we all look forward to working toward that end. I know you have all heard this before, but it bears repeating and I promise it is not “FAKE NEWS”. As President of this well-respected organization I will do my utmost to uphold the traditions and history of the Ninth District while at the same time working to strengthen and grow our membership. I am confident that with the help of the many dedicated leaders that we have, this will be a very fruitful year. Finally, the most important people in my
life – my family. My mom Marilyn and my dad Donald whom you all heard from earlier. My sister Leslie Dubner. And FINALLY, my daughter Melissa who flew in from Chicago, where she is a fragrance evaluator and perfumer in training. She may not have acquired her dad’s love for dentistry but she did get my love for chemistry and received her BS and Masters in Chemistry from the University of Rochester. Unfortunately my youngest daughter Jamie was unable to join us today, she is a senior at the University of Delaware where she is double majoring in Psychology and Human Services. Unfortunately, she could not get away from her internship. Once again, thank you all for being here today to help me celebrate this special day.
