the poles blur when we examine the dynamics in time and space. This plays out today, in so many medical/dental arenas. Our superlative annual Dutchess County, All-Day Seminar for dentists and staff, will take place on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm at the Grandview Conference Center, 178 Rinaldi Blvd., Poughkeepsie, NY. The day includes both continental breakfast and sumptuous, buffet lunch and provides attendees with 8 hours continuing education credits. Speakers are Dr. Stephen Katz and Kelly Fox-Galvagni. The topic will be “Pump Up Your Practice: A Team Approach to Improved Treatment Acceptance. Check our DCDSny.com website for further information and details. Once again, with the assistance of our many sponsors, this will be yet another outstanding DCDS day of learning. Reservations are limited so respond early to reserve your place. Join us for our evening meetings. Our January meeting featured Dr. Brijesh Chandwani, who spoke about “Different Diagnosis of Temporomandibular and Facial Pain Disorders”. February brought us Dr. Denise Trochesset, with “Com-
mon Oral and Mucosal Lesions in Children and Adults”. Our March meeting will present our own Dr. Jennifer Blair-Payami, a Pedondontist. Our May meeting will be a presentation by another of our own, Dr. Justin Kang, Periodontist, “Ridge Preservation”. Finally, June brings us, once again, our Presentation of the Walter Wallace Stevens Award, followed by Gregory Tapfar, an Attorney from Danziger & Markhoff. Greg returns for a discussion about “Practice Transitions”. Kudos to Dr. Lina Angiolillo, Program Chairperson, for putting together another excellent and diverse roster of speakers. Contact our Steward, Dr. Louise Dewhirst, at DCDSmeals@gmail.com for reserving your space with us for dinner and lecture. Like always, we welcome nonmembers and out of county dentists, and staff. About the author: Dr. Michael Schwartz is Corresponding Secretary, Dutchess County Branch Dental Society and has a private General Practice in Fishkill, NY.
